Aqua Gaussian Blur Test

Description

You know, putting my own shading tutorial into practice. Doesn't look too bad, though it took quite a while since I had to split Aqua's head into 7~8 sections, plus 2~3 layers for the gaussian blur filter on top of every section, to a total of more or less 30 layers. (Not to mention I also had to manually blur/smudge some portions to make things look smoother.)

I guess as far as efficiency goes, this isn't such an efficient way to color as I originally thought. But it sure looks smooth and shiny!

Awesome! This looks really good! I used your tutorial and finished a headshot for a friend yesterday. She uploaded it on her account and I'll be putting it on mine later today. I wish I'd beaten you to it, but I had final exams XD

I'm kinda surprised it took so many layers. I only used 11 total 5 for lineart because I had to do it in chunks, and 6 for coloring and background. I also had a glow around the character too and a silhouette layer to fix the lineart, so really it was only about 7 layers. Yours is probably better though.
